One Year Back...
from today, my life took a BIG turn.
My most beloved teacher, Ma'am Rita Sawhney left the world but the stars still shine when I think about her...
The Stars Still Shine
She came into my life as an angel
And went away too soon
But as existence fulfills its purpose
She gave me a magical boon
Never was I so responsible
About tiny lil' things
Multi talents came all from her
As she gave me wings
Soon I was flying in the sky
Up above the world
Like a mother she was always there
To help me cross a hurdle.
My life would take a new turn
I was not ready to believe
It was hard to imagine a life
Where she would not be with me
She always kept silent
Though she knew her end was drawing near
She never let us know about this
Because we were but her dears
The night before she breathed her last
I,in my prayer was told
To pray for her soul and not her body
As the end was standing close
I never went to bid her goodbye
Because my journey with her had just begun
The very next day on the horizon
Appeared a new Sun.
Though in tears, I always knew
That He had planned it all
He kept me in His lap all the time
Untill I was calm.
The 24th of March was a day
That brought emotions along
In not just me
But also, in people all around
Every now and then I am assured
That now she is free
But passing by her room still seems tough
As my eyes look only for that magnanimous being
Life saw a sea of change that day
As I was brought aside
To an angel who still looks at me
through the stars that still shine...

Yippeee...
I am so happy you know !
I have just won the 'complete the story' competition on Bawa and Dinesh Bhaiya's blog ! :) So what if I am a side winner ? Atleast I have won something :)
You want to know what the prize is ?
Guess..guess..
Yes! It is a bouquet of flowers by the beloved teachers and something very special with that. But that comes here only after I receive it :)
I prayed so hard to Guruji that He thought of giving it to me finally !
WOW !
Prayer works huh ! :)
Read my story here.
( on the nineteenth number :) )

13/09/08
This happened about 6 months back on my brother Anshit's birthday ( 13th September ). If you would remember , on this very day Delhi had been left in shock because of the the serial blasts in the busiest market places of the city.
Anshit was unable to decide on a programme for his eighteenth birthday a few days before the 13th of that month. Eighteenth birthday man ! Who wouldnt love to throw a grand party ? And his mind was in utter chaos. Almost everyday he would ask me whether to have a satsang on his birthday or a lovely party at home. From my experience, I preferred the latter!
( Now you wouldnt expect that thinking that I have a world of my own in which parties take a back seat ! )
Moreover, Anshit was ( is infact ) good at organising parties. He did that quite well on my birthday when my mom was busy doing her DSN course.
So, after a series of discussions we decided to have a party. We : That includes me and a handful of his friends.
But very strangely , Anshit gave his verdict of having a satsang!
Lo !
Seriously , he is NOT a guy who would love to have a satsang on his birthday. That too when he was turniing legal :) And that too when no superb singer and a superb place were available...
I kept persuading him to go for a party but finally his decision was binding.
13th September 2009
5:30 pm : Mom was home. She had to get us all on our toes and do the last minute arrangements for a satsang at 7:00 pm .
The satsang began..
In no time, I started getting messages from my friends asking me to give them a missed call or message them about my safety.
(At 7:00 pm blasts had triggerred off at the sites.)
I was terrified.
(I was the only one at home at this time and was still getting ready for the satsang.)
Everybody had fun in the satsang..Sang, danced , had dinner and went home.
That night I was discussing the incident with Mom.
She told me that at the very site of the bomb blast in the Greater Kailash - I Market, it was almost certain for my Mom and my younger Masi to stand there. These two ladies( I just mentioned) are shopping freaks and it is a routine for them to wind up their shopping by 6:45 and stand at the Momos' stall around 7:00 pm on Saturdays.
But that day both of them had given up their shopping desires to make it for the satsang...
That is Anshit with Mom..
And that is Masi with her lil' angels..
I call this Guru Grace.
What would you call this ?!

Mamma Mia..here I go again :-)
Mamma Mia...Thats the new craze I have got !
But how did it begin ?
Well,I am a big time addict of the 'Travel n Living' Channel. And every now and then they were showing excerpts from songs by ABBA( I didnt know earlier that any such band exists but research suggested that this was one of the most popular band of all times and dissolved some years back.. ). It had simple lyrics and very nice music...And that's all what was needed to get me sticking to it !
Dying to watch the premiere of this movie on Sunday( Travel n Living, 9:00 pm). But got an exam on Monday !
After the exmas I would call all my friends home and watch this one ! Promise !
All of you are invited :)
Watch the Mamma Mia song here. I bet you'll have a rocking time :)
Mamma Mia...
Here I go again...
My my, how can I resist you ? ;)

Sadhana
Hie !
It has been a long long time since I took out to time to post something ! Honestly, I was barred from coming here( courtesy : my friends( should I still call them friends ? :) )
But I feel that it is better to put down something here rather than calling up people every now and then to share knowledge with them :)
So, what should I share with you all ?
The importance of Sadhana...!
Guruji says,"Dhyan ki kya shakti hai, jo karte hain, woh jaante hain."
All of us who have been pretty regular with our Sadhana for a while now would have surely realised this...
Many a times things somehow fall in the right place..
Out of nowhere, a desire is fulfilled..
For no reason, joy dwells up..
Isnt it ?!
All this happens when You are in the presence of a Guru. In the presence of a Master, the innate talents start blossoming, smiles grow in length , sorrow diminishes, a feeling of abundance dawns in life.( read The Narada Bhakti Sutra for more )
Like it rains for everyone but only some keep their vessels up and enjoy, similarly the Guru's Grace is showering on all but only the ones regular with their Sadhana receive the benefits. This is because Sadhana is like opening the doors of your small mind and allowing the Big mind to take charge...
Eventually, love, peace, light and wisdom dawn in life !
We grow old filled with regrets,
For things not done,
For words not said,
For love not shown.
Life is too short..
Do what makes you happy..
NOW!
Remember, today is the first day of the rest of your life...So get going with your Sadhana... I promise you would love it ! :) :)
