One Year Back...

from today, my life took a BIG turn.
My most beloved teacher, Ma'am Rita Sawhney left the world but the stars still shine when I think about her...

The Stars Still Shine

She came into my life as an angel

And went away too soon

But as existence fulfills its purpose

She gave me a magical boon

Never was I so responsible

About tiny lil' things

Multi talents came all from her

As she gave me wings

Soon I was flying in the sky

Up above the world

Like a mother she was always there

To help me cross a hurdle.

My life would take a new turn

I was not ready to believe

It was hard to imagine a life

Where she would not be with me

She always kept silent

Though she knew her end was drawing near

She never let us know about this

Because we were but her dears

The night before she breathed her last

I,in my prayer was told

To pray for her soul and not her body

As the end was standing close

I never went to bid her goodbye

Because my journey with her had just begun

The very next day on the horizon

Appeared a new Sun.

Though in tears, I always knew

That He had planned it all

He kept me in His lap all the time

Untill I was calm.

The 24th of March was a day

That brought emotions along

In not just me

But also, in people all around

Every now and then I am assured

That now she is free

But passing by her room still seems tough

As my eyes look only for that magnanimous being

Life saw a sea of change that day

As I was brought aside

To an angel who still looks at me

through the stars that still shine...

Love

Anshika
